Tonight as I was fixing dinner Aniston was running around. One of her toys just happened to hop into the microwave while I turned around to grab something. I didn't notice until she kept staring into the microwave saying "hop hop" and laughing. She put her stuffed bunny in the microwave and I didn't notice!!

Aniston still has the "U" spirit!!

We got to sneak away for a few days this last weekend. We went down to visit friends and family in St. George and had a blast!! We even got to stay in our old apartment and "remember when". We got to visit some great friends and we snuck in a visit to Grandma Cecile.

Aniston got to jam out with Daddy and Uncle Trevor on Rock Band. She did pretty good for her first time!

Nanna Shanna gave Aniston a Cabbage Patch doll and they shared the car seat on our way home. I really don't look forward to long trips with Aniston, she's would much rather be movin' so it makes for a LONG ride. We were surprised that she slept half way on the way down. We were lucky to get her to close her eyes for maybe an hour on the way home...AHHHHHHH!!!

On our way out we had to stop 2 places: #1 Mike, Kristi, and Scarlett's house. We haven't seen them since a week or so after Scarlett was born. Her and Aniston are exactly 1 year apart. She is such a sweet and gorgeous baby, and Aniston liked her toys!
#2 stop was IN AND OUT!! We haven't stopped to eat at the one in St. George, but decided we just had to this time...YUMMY!
Our trip was a lot of fun and I am mad that I didn't get more pictures. We ate dinner with Joe, Kalli, and Presli and the two girls were so cute sitting together munchin' on their dinner. We are excited to see their little boy when he decides it's time to come, and we wish them the best!!

WOW! was the reaction last week when we found out that my brother, Stefen, would have to come home from his mission. Total shock and disbelief at the news!! He had told us that he was sick just after he got to Mexico, but he's the type that doesn't complain and you just never know how bad things are. So, since he wasn't getting better with the treatment they were trying in Mexico, he needed to come home and have things taken care of here. He had been having fevers, stomach pain, everything was going right through him, and he was loosing weight that he didn't even have to loose in the first place. He flew home last Friday and WOW, my poor little brother didn't look good at all! I was so happy to see him and so glad they didn't let him stay there and not get better. The doctor is still doing tests because the first ones didn't show much, but I hope he can get better soon. He loves Mexico and loves being a missionary, so we are all sayin' our prayers that he'll get better and be able to go back.

Uncle Stefen has been trying to get Aniston to warm up to him because unfortunately since he left she has developed the shy stuff.

Aniston likes to hang out with the guys sometimes, so she sat with Uncle Stefen while Daddy fixed the Jeep.

Now for little Miss Rae, she's so fun these days and she's a little crazy too!! She is a giggler just like her mommy, and it's fun to get her going. She is also getting into the pretend stuff and makes us and her toys all kinds of stuff to eat. She's starting to use little phrases lately, and she talks non stop all day long. I had her with me in Relief Society (one more month and she goes to nursery...YAY) on Sunday, and she would not stop talking and she was loud too. I put her binky in her mouth, but that didn't do any good because things just came out muffled and louder. The girl needs a volume button sometimes!! She's my little sunshine and Chris and I are both so thankful for her.

We got Aniston a tent because she likes to hide under things and she actually played with this one in Ikea one day and LOVED it.

Of course Aunt Shelbi had to join in the fun and Aniston loved having her in the tent to bounce on and giggle with.

I had to try this fun little tent out too!! It was a little small for me, but Aniston loves having anyone play inside her tent.

Aniston sleeps on her tummy with her bum in the air at night, and as a result all her pee slides down the front of her and sneaks out of her diaper. She takes most of her naps on our bed thanks to "bed wetting" at nights. I think her sheets and mattress cover are about worn out because of daily washings. Any suggestions?

Papa is always so good to help out with Aniston. These are just a few of the things he's helped with...

He let Aniston borrow his socks when I forgot to bring some over when we had Sunday dinner. Funny thing was that she kept them on the WHOLE TIME we were there.

Papa is well known for his hair attempts over the years, this is just another example of his style...bright and bold and unmatched. We love you Papa!

Happy NEW Year

Wow I can't believe the holidays are over. It seems like every day goes by faster than the one before, and there are so many things that are fun and NEW that we've be up to. We rang in the new year at my parent's house. My family, minus Chris who worked until 10 and then came to finish off the night with us, got together and made some YUMMY Japanese food. Wow were we all full after that feast, there was so much yummy food that my Mom is still trying to feed us leftovers from it! Then we watched Pirates together and we got so into it that we didn't watch the famous ball drop.
We were able to go snowboarding with some friends a few days ago, and that was a blast!! I haven't been for 2 years so I was really excited to go and see if I could make it down the hill. We made it through the FREEZING day with no major injuries and no lift incidents(my biggest worry is making it off the lift in the upright position). It was so cold that when we started to warm up our fingers and toes would burn so bad it made us want to cry!
Aniston has been learning a bunch of new things and she is growing up so fast. When she does something new or says a new word I am amazed that she knows so much. She talks all the time, except when she is shy which is a new thing. She has to warm up to some people, but she does it pretty fast and then they are best friends!! She is good at repeating things so we have to watch what we say and do. Her favorite thing is still playing in the fridge, and she likes to read books and play with her stuffed animals and ponies. She still talks about Santa and watches out the car window for the "pitty lites". She loves to put on makeup with me and she thinks it's fun to play with my hair. She has always twisted and ran her fingers through her hair when she's tired, so she'll run her fingers through other people's hair when she is falling asleep too. She is starting to seem interested in the toilet, so we're going to start the potty training stuff after she finishes with some tests she has to have done the end of this month.
Her newest words are:
the dreaded "doh"(no)
"pee pooh"(pee you)
"coo key"(cookie)
"doh tootah"(go Utah)
*yes she can tell the difference
"doh di doh"(where'd it go?)
She knows shapes and all her body parts and we're working on colors. She's always down for the tub and loves to help wash. She's a good hand washer, she takes after her mother. She's a big fan of the radio and turns it on so she can dance with her Daddy.
I feel so lucky for all that I have and I am excited for another year of fun and I'm sure there will be a few challenges. We hope everyone enjoyed their New Years and wish you the best in 2009!

We can't forget the Utes game Friday night... WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR UTES!!
Daddy's idea of a sweet hair style
Aniston organizing the fridge. She pulls everything out of one shelf on the door and lines it up on the bottom of the fridge while she's licking the top if the Parmesan cheese container...OCD maybe?!
